Crisis, EB-3 Other Workers Immigration Cut-Off Date

US Immigration 2023. 3. 22. 10:21

October 9, 2022

A crisis has been placed on EB-3 Other Workers, the third priority for employment and immigration.

In June, the Department of State's immigration/permanent residence visa bulletin, the third priority cut-off date for unskilled workers, was pushed back more than three years to May 8, 2019. Of course, these dates were Final Action Dates and Dates for Filing were open. In other words, the I-485 permanent residency application can be filed right now, but the priority date of the case must be included in the approval date to be approved.

Unfortunately, in June, as the Immigration Service also adopted the Acceptable Application Criteria (When to File I-485 Application) as the acceptable date, the priority date of May 8, 2019 or later cannot even accept the application for permanent residency. It became a non-existent situation. This situation continued until September.

In the October issue, the third-preferred unskilled job approval date has moved forward by about a year to June 1, 2020. On the contrary, the date of receipt was limited to September 8, 2022 in the open.

From this point on, the Immigration Service adopted the acceptable date and started accepting applications for permanent residency (I-485). In other words, from the date before May 8, 2019 to the date before September 8, 2022, it is a whopping 3 years of rapid progress.

The third priority, EB-3 Other Workers, remained the same as the immigration gate in October and made no progress in November. The immigration filing date is also the same as October.

In December, the last month of 2022, immigration literature is scheduled to be announced soon, so immigrants are paying attention.
